Using "Take Ownership Shortcut". Everything works fine, but it appears there are limits - when selecting more than 15 folders, "Take Ownership" context menu entry disappears. Same goes with files, 15 is maximum.
Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe). Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer registry key. Create a 32-bit DWORD value named MultipleInvokePromptMinimum by right clicking the right pane in registry editor. Even if you are running 64-bit Windows, you still need to create a 32-bit DWORD value.
Set its value data in decimal to the number of items in Explorer for which you wish to have Take Ownership context option visible. In the example below, I set the DWORD value data to 20 in decimal, so context menu commands will remain accessible for up to 20 selected files.
N.B. If you set up User Access Control (UAC) Prompt to full secure mode, then you see many UAC prompts pop up during take ownership. So take ownership some few files at once. Microsoft recommends "only increasing this value to a reasonable number in a controlled environment and only where users really need this value increased".
I'm running the latest version of Windows 10. Have reinstalled. No change. Advanced reinstalled (deleted registry entries for Dropbox, and the various dropbox folders in appdata and program files where I found them). Still no change. Please advise.
After writing my reply, I decided to go through my old programs one more time to see if I can find some context menu editor. I found a few, one of which (ShellMenuView) had a nice list of context menus, of which only the Dropbox shell extender (or something along those lines) was disabled... for some reason. Maybe I did it with my own hand and forgot... no idea why I'd do that, though. Either way, enabling it and restarting produced the designed results. Now I have the dropbox context menu again.

Yes, as far as I've noticed, dropbox is working and syncing normally. It even remembered what folders had previously been set to online-only, a year or so again (I haven't changed these in a while). The sync icons show up fine in windows explorer. Other than usual windows updates, I haven't changed anything about my OS. I have a suspicion that I might have perhaps used a program around the time I last used the context menu that edits context menu entries, but I don't remember if it was a windows thing, or 3rd party. Either way, I find it odd that even after cleaning the registry the context menu entries are still missing.
The reason for the behavior? Apparently to protect users from "accidentally performing these actions on a large number of files". While that may make sense some times, it does not if you want to perform one of the missing operations on the selected files.
A parameter needs to be added to the Windows Registry to change the limit of the context menu. The fastest way to open the Registry Editor is to press Windows-R, type regedit, and the return key afterwards.
and look for the entry MultipleInvokePromptMinimum on the right side. If it is there good, if not create it with a right-click on the right side and the selection of New > DWORD (32-Bit Value). Copy and paste the name from above into the text field and hit return.
Known about this little tip for a while now. In an article on another tech site there were a few comments that using a value of 16 merely increased the limit from 15 files to 16 files rather than an unlimited number as intended. The solution was to use a higher figure e.g. 128 instead of 16 (128 being a large enough figure to accommodate most eventualities). I have mine set to 128 with no problems. So if 16 fails to do the trick for you, choose as large a number as you like to suit your needs.
Actually its not a problem. Its a feature by design. Microsoft designed Windows 7 to automatically disable these 3 context menu options when user selects more than 15 items in Explorer to prevent accidentally performing these actions on large set of files.

^^ I assume you are trying to take a screenshot of all programs listed in Start Menu. Just open Start Menu -> All programs list and then press PrntScr key on your keyboard. Now open MSPaint or any other image editing software and press Ctrl+V keys together to paste the screenshot.
Hello everybody. thanks for your work. Tried atlas and iit is realy good on many task. I have a problem tough. I am in an office environment, and i print a lot. First problem is i can not seem to activate old windows photo viewer, and right clik context menu missing print option. Tried different reg hacks for photo viewer and didn't seem to work.
Photo Viewer: the program itself might be removed, so only reg hacks probably won't work. you can try enabling UPW and re-install windows photo viewer from MS Store(not sure if it will work). Or use 3rd party img viewer such as IrfanView/XnView/FastStone like I do(Irfan actually is much better than windows photo viewer in my opinion).
Print: I guess you were talking about the "print" command in context menu of image files? It calls windows photo viewer to finish the printing, since the photo viewer is removed so you can't print images this way. If you insist on this you can try to install photo viewer back and see if it comes back.
I don't know how to enable UPW. Tried to find some info on internet but info seem very vague, nothing specifical. Sorry , i am not very techi on this kind of things. finded some photoviewer.dll, and run some reghack, but nothing copme to life, only some error on load image, i will rerun and come back with error info.
TRIED SOME "HACKS" but none worked. Instaled dual boot with full windows 10, copied folder windows photo viewer from booth program files and x86, searched photovierwer.dll and copied on some l;ocation from winxs, but cannot find folder lcu from servicing folder , even if i try to create i receive respons that is already. here :(.
That was a start. Enabled UWP, instaled Microsoft Photos. It work to open image. But context print menu, did not apear, and trying to registrer photoviiewer.dll for old photoviewer giv same error (module filed to load).
Any other ideas ? can i unpack photoviewer from image with dism ?. Momentarily i think that photoviewer is in placew but i am not sure if it is in corect location, or it is another service, or dependencies that not work.
What the context menu print item do is sending proper printing parameters to photoviewer, google and find the reg hack to do that. Or you can search the whole regedit in your another system with specific string to find the correct config then copy back.
Print option is not valid for only image files. It is a very good comand, it alow to automaticaly print other types (pdf & docs) without opening. If printer is corectly set (for examle, duplex, black & white, ) it i clik contex menu Print option, it automatcaly open asocciated files and run print comand. It very useful when you have dozens of documents with same layout and print options needed. I think i wil go to try another "distro" with revios,, maybe i will have more luck. Sorry for my enchlish,m is not my primary language and sory for bother with this real problem (at least for me, but i think it wil be good for others, students for example with low specs equipment, kids that receive gift with aa old hardware etc.)
(1) For Windows and Linux, the main menu offers ways of interacting with the browser. You can open new tabs or browser windows, zoom pages, or view Opera pages such as Speed Dial, news, bookmarks, downloads, history, or settings.
To pin the sidebar to Opera, click on the Easy setup button to the right of the combined address and search bar. Under Appearance click Show sidebar. Click the button again to unpin the sidebar. Unpinning the sidebar will make the sidebar only available from the start page.
To customize your sidebar, click the three-dot icon at the bottom of your sidebar. The Sidebar setup panel will open, allowing you to edit or remove elements on your sidebar, like Workspaces, Messengers, History, extensions, as well as other features and tools.
You can also access the sidebar settings from Settings > Sidebar. There you can select to pin the sidebar, enable a narrow sidebar, or enable messenger notification badges.
Opera can organize multiple pages into one browsing window using tabs, which are designed to resemble paper filing tabs. Tabs allow you to interact with many pages simultaneously without closing a page until you are ready.
