Hey guys!
As you all know, last semester Food for Thought worked with Corporate Accountability International on the Value [the] Meal campaign to stop McDonald's marketing to children and retire Ronald McDonald. In November, we did a call-in campaign to CFO Pete Benson, and generated over 300 calls from Tufts students!
With our help, the campaign has made huge progress. McDonald's is suffering financially, and the campaign to Retire Ronald is at a crucial time right now. This coming Wednesday, April 8, there will be a Retire Ronald Rally from 12:30-1:15 on the Harvard Medical School Quad, and we really need a huge number of students to show up and tell McDonald's franchise owners that we won't stand for their abuses throughout our food system--namely, the marketing of junk food to kids. A group of Tufts students will be traveling to the Harvard Med campus together to join the call. We made a huge difference last time we contributed to this campaign--we can do it again!
If you can commit to coming with us to the rally, or are interested in learning more, EMAIL foodca...@stopcorporateabuse.org!
