Hi Planties!
-Who we are: Tom Thumb's Student Garden is the only gardening club on campus, we own part of the gardens behind South Hall. Elouise Doyle and I (Deannna Bessy) are this year's co-presidents. Our wonderful seed keeper/summer garden guy is Nick Dorian. We have a facebook page and a website you can look us up on.
-Our projects for this year include getting access to the garden on the roof of Tisch, finishing building of our greenhouse, working with kids in local gardens,and having fun events, speakers, and field trips (even into the winter!).

Thanks to everyone who showed up at our GIM last Wednesday, we were sooooooo glad to have you! If you couldn't make it, we still 
you. Our next meeting is tomorrow (Wednesday) from 9-10 in Eaton 201. We expect to have food from Danish Pastry House, and will talk a lot about volunteering at local schools and planning a skill share event where people can pot their own plants.

-The opening was a guest appearance of Happy Onion Man. His onion wasn't feeling quite well, so she did not come.

-Garden club positions: We have four positions open in garden club this year! They are: Schedule Director, Compost Director, TSC (Tufts Sustainability Collective) Liaison, and Treasurer. TSC Liaison is a position that attends both TSC and Garden Club meetings to keep us in good communication. The other positions are a little more self-explanatory.
-Our Workdays are usually on the weekends. These are when we actually physically garden. The hours are flexible and drop-ins are encouraged, we plan the exact times at our weekly meeting.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A POSITION fill out this form before NEXT Wednesday. We had many more people than we expected interested in the four positions we have available! We can only have one person per position 
. We are not looking for people who necessarily are super duper experienced. This form is just for us to get a feel for who's interested and willing to learn and put some work into the position. Don't stress too much over it, but please put in some effort!
