Chicago NATO Summit, May 20-21st

Hey everyone,

I want to join the protests in Chicago against NATO on May 20th and 21st, and I've heard others express interest as well.

So, is anyone else going, and does anyone know someone I could stay with close to downtown?

Of course I'm going. As are many other people. Hopefully there will be a camp with tents we can sleep in :P

I'm sure we can plan on a tent city being set up, but I'm also sure we can plan on it being torn down, and I want to sleep that night. Marches are no fun without sleep.

Let me know if your leads run dry. I lived there til I was 17, and it might be a stretch, but I could try to shake the dust off some old trouble loving networks. My neighborhood was about a 20 minute El ride from Centennial / Grant parks, where Occupy Chi tried to settle in. I might also be headed there myself, depending on when I'm able to get back on the continent, so.

I'm from Evanston, which is about an hour from downtown on the El. I may or may not be in the area depending on travel/summer stuff, but if I am, I'll be at the protest and people would be welcome to stay with me. Keep me updated on your plans.

Awesome! I just found someone who said she could host me in Chicago, so I'm set for sleeping that night, but she can only host me. Let me know when you all find confirmed places to sleep and then we can all buy bus tickets together (they're really cheap if we buy them a month ahead of time)
