Tufts Occupiers March 4th Magnificent Meeting Minutes
-GA Recap (5 min)
· Better than expected, though not super well organized
· Some were talking way too much, need work with step up, step back
· We recapped March 1st, discussion over trust and solidarity culture
o Conflict over diversity of tactics
· Talk about us needing to build coalition
o Proposal: Idea that if you bring new folks to an action (and you should!), you should give them a crash course in police reactions/legal rights
-Speakers
· Jameelah talks about Colombian speaker (she gave an awesome description but spoke super fast, rest assured they sound great)
o March 15, 6 PM, or 4:30 PM (Talk will be in Spanish)
o Proposal to allocate $50 to co-sponsor Columbian speaker, passed
o Also allocated $100 for Puerto Rican activist March 14th, 7 PM
o Also allocated X dollars for Patrick’s radical student history, April 4th
-Outreach
· March 14th Puerto Rican speaker: Romi has made flyers, facebook group
· March 15th Columbian speaker (In Spanish)
o Romance Language Dept, PAA, Tufts Occupiers Co-Sponsoring
o Jameelah, Rachel making the flyer right after this meeting
· April 4th Flyer Ryan will make flyer/network with Patrick

· Nate will finish up flyer, send out over InterOccupy Tonight
· Confirmed SOB date of Saturday, April 7th 1 PM

o Our marketing plan should be different

o Idea: Circulate petition
· Rachel: Updates on informal campaign against rape culture on campus
o Seems like Tufts Admin initially said they’d co-sponsor an open letter from Tufts University community against Knockout Barstool, backed off with concerns about free speech
o Trying to get a date together to meet with Tufts admin
o Talk to her to get involved
· Informal proposal on culture jamming around campus
