Eco-Reps Coordinator Job Description Due May 1st

Current Opening: Co-Coordinator position to work with Rachael Wolber.

 

The Eco-Reps Coordinators oversee the actions of the Eco-Reps as they work to promote sustainability in their dorms. In general, the coordinators are responsible for the success of the Eco-Reps program and all related events. Initial tasks include:

  • Advertising the Eco-Reps position
  • Interviewing and choosing Eco-Reps
  • Designing and running an initial day-long training session
  • Outlining year-long goals for the program

 

Although tasks change on a weekly basis and are based around current campaigns and events, during the school year the coordinators are responsible for the following:

  • Planning and leading  weekly meetings
  • Organizing educational events for the Eco-Reps
  • Attending bi-weekly, hour-long Office of Sustainability staff meetings
  • Attending weekly, hour-long meetings with the Tufts Sustainability Program Director (Tina Woolston)
  • Communicating with appropriate faculty and staff
  • Providing timely answers to emails

 

This position pays ten dollars per hour and will require 5-10 hours of work per week. This position will begin as soon as the co-coordinator returns to Tufts, ideally during pre-orientation week.

 

This position will run for one semester, with the possibility of a year-long extension depending on the applicants.
