These low-lifes called my
client and told her they represented a third party hired by computer companies to monitor computers. They stated they detected a significant number of errors of her computer.
The computer thieves then asked my client to type in some commands which showed 100 to 200 errors on her computer. They stated this was a significant amount.
The telemarketer scammers then asked my client to type in a command which showed a long number and some other information on her screen. The scam artists then read the long number to her and my client stated this was correct.
The computer scammers then verified this was the computer they detected, told her for a one time
fee they could correct the errors. No downloads were necessary they could fix it remotely.
When my client stated she’d have to check with her husband first the computer scammers hung up the telephone.
How The Computer Scammers Know This Information About Your Computer
The number of computer errors, which are normally hidden without typing in a command, are perfectly normal and Windows P.C.s (personal computers) fix these errors automatically.
The command my computer client was told to type in shows the same information ON ALL COMPUTERS!
Does Such a Computer Watch Service Exist?
NO! It is impossible for a third party company to detect errors on your computer. Hang up when you get calls like this or any other suspicious phone calls asking for personal information.
