Child Safety Tip – Groceries Before Children?
This self-defense and child safety tip really surprised me.
It seems at my wife’s work there’s been some car break-ins in their
parking lot. So my wife called security to see if they had any tips for
the staff.
One tip was to keep your windows rolled up during slow or stopped
traffic. That made sense.
Another tip made me open my mouth in surprise:
After shopping, put the groceries in the car AND THEN your keiki
(children in Hawaiian)!
The explanation was that a carjacker (car thief) would steal your car during this process, thus if the last thing you put in the car were
your children, your children would not be kidnapped during the car
theft!
