Back way to Briones, North entrance on Old Briones Way

For tmr, David has put in more detailed directions for anyone coming from Oakland or points South that has one coming thru the Caldecot Tunnet on Hwy 24.

I put them on the calendar but will just copy them here as well ..

From Highway 24, take Orinda/Moraga exit and turn left at light to go under freeway on San Pablo Dam Rd.  Take a right at the light at Bear Creek Road (across from Wildcat Canyon Rd which is closed). Bear Creek passes the Briones West entrance. Keep going until Bear Creek Road ends at Alhambra Valley Rd, which is a sort of T. (You could go straight onto a much smaller, differently named road.) Turn right on Alhambra Valley Rd and go appx. 1.5 miles to a T. Turn left to continue on Alhambra Valley Rd and go app. 3.3 miles to a small, hard-to-notice, road on right called Briones Rd. on some maps (formerly called Old Briones Rd.). Turn right and take to parking area at the end. Note: if you miss this right turn onto Briones Rd, you will shortly come to a larger intersection at Reliez Valley Rd. If so, turn around.
