Hi Birders,
I went out with Pam Young (GG Audubon) and Cameron Wilson(Citizens for East Shore Parks) and here is the location of the owl. Note that on the walk we were looking in the wrong area.
Go up the path from the parking lot to the meadow and take the path to the right. Go only as far as the first “Habitat Enhancement” sign. Set up your scope just to the right of the sign. You can see the guy with binocs if you look carefully. Aim your scope in line with the double gate in the fence on the opposite side. In the distance you can see the blue buildings across the water. The owl is amongst some leafy vegetation just above a small gravely patch right in the middle of the meadow. He is not by any of the burrows that were put there. He is to the left of one of them. - I can sign on again to go there before he leaves us.---Carol

Carol and Joe: Thanks for the directions—they were perfect. After several prior tries I had given up. From that spot it would take a spotting lens to bring out even the relatively poor definition of detail by telephoto lens did (below). But now I can say I have seen one! BTW this was shout at 1:30 pm, yesterday (1/28/17). Denny Parker
