A bit slow in editing, but here are a few pics from the outing on Dec 2 on Old Briones Rd. No Soras spotted at the Lagoon, but some Kestrel and Redtail battles in the sky! Attached are a couple of highlights and a Dropbox link with a few more pics!

Those are really nice, Mike. I have a few questions:

— I assume that’s just one red-tailed hawk. Correct? How did you do that cool collage. Are they many photos from one burst that you combined in post? Photoshop?

— Did you have to crop the meadowlark or is that the full frame with your 800? Same question with the other bird (staring straight at you) (do you know what it is?). 

—Are there more pix in the Dropbox folder. I didn’t want to get the app and register, etc. so I can’t see it.

The redtail/kestral montage is stunning, Mike ... for the rt .. you can

clearly see all the identifiers .. belly band, the patagials (black on 

upper wing edge near head), the red tail (signifying adult) and the 

light markings on it's brown back .. 

Male Kestral blue/rust coloration and the striped tail ...

David the small sparrow with the yellow above eye is the

Savannah sparrow ... these pics show what is so hard to

always see in the field .. hence why birders love photographers

to come on birding trips AND then share their pics ..
