to Tudumo help, tips and tricks
I'm about to download Tudumo--tags are exactly what I was wishing for!
But 1st, I wanted to ensure I could import my to-do's from Palm. I can
use a text file.

I've got, like, 700 to-do's (not very GTD-ish, I know, but I'm a work
in progress; I'm getting better about capturing my ideas, just not at
getting them done!). Anyway, the Palm is balking (error message), so
this is a good time to make a move.

Does Tudumo have limits on number of to-do's?

The only posts I saw here on importing were from 2007 and 2008 (and I
found those a little confusing). Thought I'd better check.

I'm thinking I would probably still use the Palm-based PDA (an elderly
Sony CLIE) for the calendar and memos. Does that sound do-able?

Thanks for any input.
Judith

Hi Judith,

You can paste your to-do's into Tudumo from a text file. I would
suggest creating a few headings and pasting in some of your actions
and setting them up with tags etc instead of dumping in 700 at the
same time. Rather check the performance on your machine as overall
performance with many to-do's seems to be fairly machine-specific.

Regards,
Richard

JUDITH:
Good news--thanks for responding. (Now if I can just find an e-mail
program that
lets you put tags on your inbox and sent mail!)

JUDITH:
Do you mean I would set up the headings and tags in the text file and
then
import them? Or set up the headings and tags in Tudumo and then import
a set of
to-do's that share the same headings and tags?

JUDITH:
If I switch to Tudumo, it will be moot, I hope.

Really appreciate your taking time to help me with this!
Best,
Judith

Rather manage the tags in Tudumo. I really just meant adding the data
in bite-sized chunks so you don't have 700 all at once on the same
screen, which would make it pretty slow!

Richard
