Wanted to give you some feedback that the new sync feature is working
well so far and is a very handy little helper. I have been using
DropBox, which has worked pretty well, though the Sync solution is
more convenient.

Thanks, Daniel! I think Dropbox is an excellent general solution but
there are likely some interesting features that could come from
handling the sync this way. For example, sending someone a task and
being notified when it's done. Or keeping a history so you can pull a
report on when you completed various tasks.

So far, about 70 users and 8000 actions and headings. Nice to see
it's being used!

Richard

You might want to consider adding encryption into the equation; both
user-to-server and for data (tasks) at rest on the server. You may
find that folks want to use the feature, but will reject it if/when
they recognize that their task information, which could contain
personal information, is exposed.

Yup, planned...what Jon called a 'zero information' policy, where data
is encrypted between both Tudumo instances and so is just gibberish on
the server. The downside is that obviously you wouldn't be able to
see tasks on the server, so no web view and no online reports. And if
you lose your private key I can't get your data back for you. I'll
also get Tudumo loading file changes from the disk so you can use
alternative sync providers like Dropbox or Microsoft's sync service.

Note that it is using SSL between Tudumo and the server already.

Regards,
Richard
