Dear Honorable Senator Alexander:
I am happy to receive your comments on healthcare. All of your explanations were clear and concise. I personally would like to see this work for all of us, however, I know that it has been predicted that the United States is going to make grave errors with its policies and the people will desire to destroy this government because of them.
There is so much more than healthcare at stake. Without mentioning all the line items, I am hoping we can get bipartisan cooperation and actually design something that will work for us instead of divide us. Please continue to work with Obama so that we can have what we think we deserve.
I supported Barbara Boxer in the 1990s to get better health coverage for us and I am willing to work with you and other members of congress to get us what we need, Healthcare has fallen short this time and in previous times. There are still things we need. Such as costs. No one has addressed costs and many of us haven't gotten raises in the past 3 years.
I hope all members can put away arguing and debating and get the real work done. I believe the more we work with Obama, the more work we will get done for us all.
Peace,
Marie Thompson
