I think there has been some renewed interest in playing in the Heroes
of Fallcrest campaign. A lot of info about it is on this site, and a
discussion board might be a good thing to help jump start
the . . .discussion. . .

What does the group think? Groupthink?!

*raises hand to indicate interest* It would be awesome to get the old
group together for this once awesome campaign!

I'm game. I think I only played one or two sessions in this game so I'm way out of sorts.

Well. . .if it is super important to know what went on, there are
writeups of the sessions here on the group.

Of course, if you bring in a character that is new, he would not know
much of that anyways, so ignorance is not a problem.

In a nutshell:
- Set in the 4e default setting, the Nentir Vale
- A motley group of individuals gradually won/win the love of the
people in the town of Fallcrest
- That's all.

Because of the rotating DM's, there are numerous things that have yet
to be explored, and developments that have not come to fruition.
Mostly though, since it has been awhile since we have played, most
folks probably just remember that we killed a dragon, negotiated peace
with the Eladrin, and fought off an invasion by allied demihuman
hordes.

We kind of faded out around 8th level, while on an adventure in the
Dwarven town of Hammerfast. Colin was running this one, so he
probably remembers more than anyone.

Colin and I were tossing around ideas awhile back, and we came up with these ideas:

We use the same characters. We pick up at 8th level (where we left off, level-wise). Our party has been separated for a year and re-unite 1st session (this may have been solely my idea, can't remember), who knows what's gone down in the vale in that time. That way, keeping track of what went down before, and all its details, becomes less important. Basically, we don't have to jump into the middle of a session we don't remember. Thoughts? Gripes? Condemnations? =P

Sooooo.... anyone have any idea when game one will be?

Dan: Solid idea

Jay: I'll bail on running as I'm not familiar enough at this point to go mucking about with everyones brainchild baby.

Everyone: Anyone ok for this saturday? I can host at Meg's (Country Club and Grant) or someone else could host.
I'm Out of Town April 24th, otherwise good for all of May. Who all isn't on this list... (Scott, Lewis...??)

I dunno about this Saturday, since I'm having a baby tomorrow.

I'm good the following Saturday, but Josh is out that one. I work the
1st, but I can try to trade if we wanna shoot for then.

I'm on board with Dan's idea, too. Is anybody itching to DM? I don't
think I'll be able to work much up if we are gaming in the next week
or two, depending on how well behaved baby #3 is. If we don't game
till May I might be able to get something going. That is, unless
someone else has a desire to DM.

I'll be bringing Therryk. He will rock so much harder now.

I play magic with some guys from work the first Saturday of every month, generally from around 6PM-2AM.

I'd be down for playing, at the moment I'll hold off on offering to run because I've got my hands full with my Eberron game. I'd bring Halma, though I may re-jig his stats a little if no one opposes (that 20 starting Dex is pretty unnecessary).

I think that was one of the things that I really liked about Dan's
idea. A year in game is a good amount of time to explain new skills
and other mechanical changes.

Yeah, I'll probably be re-working Arlarond a bit too. I'm going to vote for the 2nd weekend in May. This weekend is out for me & it seems that the next two weeks are a bit busy for others. Plus, this will give us time to; re-work our characters, plan a session, etc... Yes? No?

There was some talk of doing a once a month marathon (10ish hours)
game and then an additional 3 times a month game of something on the
other weekends. Is anyone else besides Jay and I interested in that? I
might be going back to school in the near future, if that happens I
don't know if I'll be able to commit to much more than that.

I'd be down with that. I'd probably be active in both games.

Are Chel & Jess going to be joining us again? It would be good to know
for planning purposes... and it would be awesome :)

So maybe this was like a hibernating bear that got like, bit by
something and rolled over to squash it.

And then it went back to sleep again. . .

So now that my daughter is 2 months old, and I've moved, blah blah
blah, I'm feeling pretty D&D deprived. I'll know in a week or two how
my weekends will look, and I'd like to try gaming one or two
Saturdays.

Also, even though I now live in BFE (Gladden Farms), I have a nice 8
person table and a wife who likes to make cookies, if anyone is
interested in coming over for gaming, or even for something lighter,
like Munchkin.

I am certainly game for whatever. Yeah, the interest in this thread
did seem to vanish like a flock of flaming butterflies. Of course, in
my last post I *did* ask a direct question... lesson learned :P.

I have been playing in a Sat game for a few weeks now & it's a bit
unclear at the moment (due to player drop-outs) as to what's going to
happen with it. It does look like the group will forge on, however. I
would be up (as mentioned before) for a 1/month Sat game of HoF.
Unless, of course, we can find another arrangement that works equally
well. That would be just awesome, in my opinion. I'm sure we can all
work something out to our mutual D&D needs.
