Startingwith Srimat payonidhi nikethana chakrapani, the entire Lakshmi Narasimha Karavalamba stotram lyrics are composed in a great way explaining the divine qualities of the Lord Narasimha and Goddess Lakshmi, and their bestowing nature on the devotees.

O the Lord, who resides in the great ocean of milk, the one holding a discus in your hands (Chakrapani)

The one whose auspicious form is looking resplendent with the rays reflecting from the gems present on the hoods of serpent Adi sesha

O the Lord of Yogas, the eternal one, from whom we can seek refuge, who can act like a boat helping to cross the ocean of samsara

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

The Lord before whom millions of crowns of Gods like Brahma, Indra, Rudra, Marutas, Arka (Sun God)

Get together to prostrate before the glorious lotus like feet to obtain its splendor

Who is the royal swan playing at the lotus lake like bosom of Goddess Lakshmi

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

I am frightened wandering in the huge forest of Samsara, O the slayer of demon Mura (So called Murari)

I am suffering from the several ferocious and fierce animals in this path of samsara, where they offer desires that terrifies me

Suffering from the intense heat and envy caused due to these desires

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

Being in the well of samsara, which is highly fearsome due to its immeasurable depths

I was in the place of sorrow within the path of samsara that is filled with hundreds of serpents that lead to deep sorrow

O Lord, to this miserable creature, who is afflicted with all these sorrows and reached the state of wretchedness, (Please protect me)

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

O Lord, I was sunk in this huge ocean of samsara where I have been caught by the terrible time

Which is like being caught by a crocodile and my life is subdued by its catch and by planets

Where I am even affected by the waves of sensory temptations and entanglement

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

I was on the tree of Samsara, which grew from my sins that acted as the seeds, karma acting as branches

Where my uncontrollable senses (Indriyas) were the leaves and flowers formed from my desires caused by Kamadeva (Ananga)

for which the fruits are misery, I was suffering on that tree and now falling down, O the compassionate one

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

Lord, I was bitten by the poisonous mouth of the dreadful serpent of Samsa

I am getting burnt and destroyed by the terrible poison of its great fangs

O the one having the enemy of serpents (Naagari, Garuda) as your vahana, the one who resides in the ocean of nectar, O Shouri

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

(Lord Lakshmi Narasimha) I am frighted by the burning fierce fire of Samsara

The raging fires are burning all the parts of my body

I seek the refuge of the lake of lotus like feet of yours (for healing) O Lord

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

Being fallen in the net or hook of Samsara and living in that world

All my indriyas have been affected just like the hooked fish

(And the position is just like hooked fish) where the hook is tearing my head apart from my body

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

I was in the samsara, which is like getting struck by the tusk of a ferocious elephant

Which has crushed my vital parts of the body, O the destroyer of all the distresses

I was with great fear about this journey of this life in the cycle of samsara

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

O Lord, I was blind due to the blockage of my viveka (Intellect to discriminate between good and bad), and the great wealth I have

Is taken away by the thief with the name of Indriyas (senses), all together they

pushed me into the dark well filled up with desires and delusion

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

When the servants of Yama catch me and drag me and

When I was tied with hundreds of nooses around my neck

Being single in such a situation with full of fear under others, O merciful one

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

O the Lord of Lakshmi, who has lotus in his navel (Kamalnabha), the Lord Vishnu

The Lord of Vaikunta, who is Krishna, the slayer of demon Madhu (Madhusudhana), The one whose eyes are like lotuses

Who is the ultimate self, the Lord who killed the demon Kesi (Kesava), the protector of all the beings or the refuge to all the people (Janardhana), O Vasudeva

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

The one who holds the chakra (Sudarshana chakra) and conch (Shanka, Panchajanya) with his upper hands

One hand present embracing the daughter of the ocean (Goddess Lakshmi, present on the lap) and

The lower left hands showing the symbols of bestowing nature (Varada mudra) and the other with symbol of protection (Abhaya mudra)

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

O Lord, I was getting drowned in this ocean of Samsara

Please show your mercy on this pitiable one, o the Lord of all, the compassionate one

The one who incarnated to remove the difficulties of Prahlada

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

The one who recites in the hearts of the holy sages like

Prahlada, Narada, Parasara, Pundarika and Vyasa

The one who is like the Parijatha flower (indicating wish fulfilling nature) to his devotees, who offers his protection and who is always interested and inseparable from his devotees

I bow to you Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please give me the support of your divine hands.

Lakshmi Nrusimha charanaabja madhuvratena

Stotram krutham subhakaram bhuvi Sankarena

Ye tatpathanthi manuja Hari bhakthi yukthaha

Te yanthi tatpada saroja makhanda rupam (17)

This stotram is composed by Guru Adi Shankaracharya. It is believed that this Narasimha karavalamba stotram is sung by Adi shankara himself, during his difficult situations. That is during the time when Shankara reentered his own body from that of king during the times of debate with Ubhaya Bharathi, the wife of philosopher Mandana Misra.

The main benefit that one obtains by reciting this Lakshmi Narasimha Karavalamba stotram is to get the extended support of the divine hands of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. It is one of the great hymns to recite during the difficult situations of life, such that to get all those obstacles removed by the mercy of God.

Also, the last stanza of this stotram explains that by reciting this divine hymn with utmost devotion, one can attain the lotus feet of the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha as they can get liberated from the cycle of samsara.

Note: The one written here is a 17 stanza version of the stotram, however in some areas the number of stanzas can vary in between 13 stanza, 17stanza, and 25 stanza versions. But the essence of all is the same.
