Myjaw dropped. I remembered that conversation word for word, but I remembered it as a conversation with my sister. Right down to passing myself on the street. I had to stop reading for a moment and wonder what other memories of mine had come from books. What is real life? I almost expected to dissolve into floating text.**
She was struck by the way he walked, with a slight challenging swing. He had very light hair brushed back in a pompadour, blue eyes under thick light brows and healthy red lips with the lower one pushed out as though seeming to dare the world to knock the chip off his shoulder.
Justine lived with her mother and father, until her mother passed away. Her father was distraught, and didn't treat Justine well.[Reference Needed] This caused Justine to be brought to live in Stowey House some time between Tracy being fostered by Julie and Ted and coming back to live in Stowey House.[1]
In the TV series, Justine is new in the first series as she arrives before Tracy returns, she gets Tracy's old room and she befriends her best friend, Louise Goven. She and Tracy once have a dare contest that ends with Tracy eating a worm and then being sick. She is always determined to dampen Tracy's spirits, but sometimes dampens her own when she doesn't get her own way. Alot of the times when she is going to meet her dad he doesn't turn up. She also had a TV in her room, from her dad, but Tracy started a campaign about Elaine letting somebody have a TV in their room.
In the second series, she and the other kids try to trick Nathan Jones, the trainee care worker, but only succeed thanks to Tracy. Also, she and Louise make a bedsit after Tracy gives them the idea. Another major episode involving her is when her dad marries his girlfriend, Carrie, and she has to wear a horrible yellow dress. Eventually, the dress is ruined and she goes in her best party clothes. When Louise leaves the care home for her new life, Justine is incredibly depressed and Tracy is told to cheer her up.
In the third series, Justine actually joins the alliance, "If Tracy goes, we all go" when Shelley Appleton plans on moving her to another care home. She becomes startled when Carrie reveals that she and her dad are going to have a baby but eventually warms up to the idea. Eventually, her dad and Carrie tell her that they want her to move back in and she accepts. The series finale is her leaving party.
For some reason, Justine is still living at The Dumping Ground in the movie. She is the first person to see Tracy's mum and she starts to become pleased when Tracy warms up to her mum. However, when Tracy runs away to find her, she takes Justine's mobile, which makes Justine determined to find her. She accidentally reveals her location to Cam who sets off in The Dumping Ground bus. Justine goes with her, wanting her phone. At the end she helps with Tracy's birthday party.
Justine is perhaps the main protagonist in the fifth series, where it was revealed that Carrie gave birth to a little boy called Billy. After having to move out of her own room for her cousin John, she angrily moves back to the dumping ground, only to find that she has to share her room with new arrival Rebecca Chalmers. She instantly develops a rivalry with her and they are always arguing. At first she refuses to see her dad but at Guest Day gets used to her cousin after he eats some nuts. In the final episode she attends Cam's wedding and later tells Tracy that she's giving her dad another go.
Justine is a very adventurous, sparky person who can be mean or dismissive at times, especially to Tracy due to her being the best friend of Louise, who used to be Tracy's best friend before she got fostered. However, she has proven herself to be nice when need be. She can be sometimes jealous, seen from when her dad asked her to bond with his son.
Yay for you! So happy that you are finally able take a breath, sleep in a bit later, and take things at a tad bit slower pace. This image is lovely! I mean seriously, how can anyone NOT love it: sunflowers and shadows. No rustiness in this image, Stacy.
Welcome back and welcome home!
So true, Alys! Though the heat of the next few days will be a bit restrictive, which is okay as we will have a few boxes to unpack and things to hang ? I look forward to getting that done while in the comfort of air conditioning!
Stacy WarnerNameStacy WarnerAgeAbout 45Marital StatusMarried to Mark WarnerOccupation/CareerLawyer, General Counsel Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching HospitalCharacter Played BySela WardFirst Episode AppearanceThree StoriesFinal Episode AppearanceEverybody DiesStacy Warner was the General Counsel at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital during the end of Season 1 and the start of Season 2. She returns, both as a hallucination and at the funeral, in the series finale Everybody Dies. About five years prior to the series, she was Gregory House's wife. They broke up after House had the infarction in his leg. She is currently married to high-school guidance counselor and porphyria patient Mark Warner. She is portrayed by actress Sela Ward.
About ten years prior to the start of the series, Stacy met House at a paintball tournament between lawyers and doctors when she successfully shot House and put him out of the game. At the time, she was working as a constitutional lawyer. She told Cameron her first date with House was a disaster, and she never intended to see him again. However, a week later, she moved in with him.
However, when he was in the coma, Stacy used her power as medical proxy to decide to remove the dead muscle tissue instead. Although this procedure probably saved House's life, it left him with chronic pain that he would suffer for the rest of his life and permanent weakness in his right leg, causing him to develop a limp which necessitates the use of a cane for any movement greater than a few steps.
House's relationship with Stacy continued afterwards, and House admits she was very supportive about his disability. House though remained bitter about Stacy's overruling his medical judgment, frequently confronting her on it. This put too much strain on the relationship and Stacy eventually left.
Sometime after leaving House, Stacy met Mark, a guidance counselor, at a charity event. They soon married and started living in Short Hills, with Stacy commuting to work in New York. They had to skip their honeymoon because Stacy had to work. Stacy started to notice Mark was changing, acting very stressed out and having terrible mood swings. Mark had seen some doctors, but they assured him it was only stress.
Stacy remained close friends with both James Wilson and Lisa Cuddy. Her existence is first mentioned in the episode Sports Medicine where Wilson claims he is speaking at an oncology conference so he can't go to the monster truck show with House. However, House finds out Wilson cancelled his appearance at the conference and learns that he is really going to have dinner with Stacy that night. Wilson tells House that he lied because he didn't want to hurt his feelings. House says he's fine with Wilson seeing Stacy. However, it's clear from House's reaction that he still has deep feelings for her. At the end of the episode, Cameron asks him if he's ever been in a relationship with anyone. He replies that it did happen once.
Finally, in Three Stories, Stacy comes to seek House to treat her husband's mystery illness. At first House refuses, but after recounting the experience that led to his infarction in a lecure, he has a change of heart and agrees to see Mark. However, Mark refuses to see House. She has to trick him into it by going to dinner with him and having House there.
In Honeymoon, Mark continues to refuse to see House, but House manages to drug Mark Warner to get him to the hospital, but his initial attempts come up empty. House's team also wonders why House trusts Stacy so much. Mark insists he's fine and it's Stacy claiming that there must be something wrong with him and, at first, the tests bear Mark out. House persists at Stacy's urging and when Cameron reminds him that Everybody lies, he counters that he was lying when he said that. It's clear that Stacy appears to be the one person House trusts without reservation.
House learns Stacy is right after performing exploratory surgery on Mark which confirms abdominal epilepsy. However, he soon runs out of possible diagnoses. We learn there are still issues between House and Stacy when Stacy can't find him and goes looking for him on the roof. She finds him there and notes that every time he wanted to avoid things he went up there, but House counters that due to his leg pain, he hasn't been up there since Stacy left him. House also starts talking about how much more attentive Mark seems to be to her needs, such as ensuring that they went to Paris on their honeymoon like she always wanted. However, when Stacy says she and Mark went right back to work after their wedding, House realizes Mark is also suffering from delusions because it's clear he believed he went to Paris when he said it.
House believes Mark has acute intermittent porphyria, but the test to confirm it is very risky. Without immediate confirmation, the next attack could kill him. Mark is opposed to the test, but Stacy is so worried she convinces House to test him anyway, which he does despite the best efforts of his team to stop him. The test confirms porphyria which most likely saved Mark's life.
However, after agreeing with Cuddy to let Stacy work at the hospital, the relationship between Stacy and House becomes strained. House consistently makes fun of Mark to his face. He often invaded Stacy's privacy. He frequently lied to Stacy. The situation was made worse by the fact that most of the hospital's legal work revolved around House.
In Acceptance their relationship is strained right away when House lies to Stacy so that she will think Cuddy approved getting a court order to release a death row inmate to his custody for treatment. When they return to the hospital, Cuddy confronts both of them. As a result, Stacy has to ask straight out if House will lie to her again. When he admits he will, Stacy says she's fine with that because now she knows they can continue to work together.
