To add a shortcut icon to the Windows taskbar, first access the printer driver from the Start menu as described above. Next, click the Maintenance tab, the Speed & Progress button, and then the Monitoring Preferences button. In the Monitoring Preferences window, select the Select Shortcut Icon check box.

Anyone know where I can find the driver for printer EPSON L355 that works with MacOS Monterey 12.0 and beyond? Seems like the one in the website isn't yet compatible for monterey. Any help would be appreciated!

I tried, but the printer doesn't appear in the "Add Printers" list despite successful installation. The same driver works when I installed it in another device still using Mac OS Big Sure, though, so I guess Epson just doesn't support Monterey yet?

Epson's new 16-bit microcontroller features small size and low power consumption equivalent to an 8-bit microcontroller, even with the 16MB address space.
The S1C17 family of original 16-bit microcontrollers integrate a wide variety of interfaces, allowing connection with multiple sensors and a wealth of peripheral circuits such as an EPD driver,LCD controller and driver supporting low to medium-level resolutions.
The S1C17 family microcontroller has RISC architecture to achieve high-speed operation and low power consumption, making it ideal for mobile devices. The family includes a rich lineup of built-in Flash ROM products.
The high quality development environment and on-chip ICE function also contribute to shorten design turnaround time.

The S1C17W00 series is an ultra-low power consumption microcontroller with Flash memory. It can operate from 1.2V. The embedded highly efficient DC-DC converter generates an internal constant voltage, to drive IC with lower power consumption than 4-bit microcontroller. This series implements a built-in RTC, LCD driver, high-performance PWM and improved analog functions. It's suitable for battery driven applications.

The S1C17F00series is microcontroller featuring EPD passive panel segment driver, - and temperature detection circuit. The S1D14F00series is low power consumption driver IC with expandability of segment display capacity. It is suitable for portable device with EPD such as smart card.

This is a low power consumption microcontroller integrated segment LCD driver, A/D converter and remote controller circuit.
It's suitable for battery-driven portable devices and healthcare products.

This is a low power consumption microcontroller integrated Flash ROM, RAM, Dot Matrix LCD driver, remote controller circuit, wide variety of I/F and timer function. It's suitable for battery-driven wearable devices with Dot Matrix display such as sports watches and remote controllers.

The need for more on-chip microcontroller memory has increased commensurately. Also, since more watches now need to display more information, their LCD screens tend to be larger and have higher definition. These screens require high-resolution liquid crystal drivers.

The S1C17W36 meets these needs with 384 Kbytes of on-chip Flash memory, the most in the series, and an integrated liquid crystal driver that drives up to 2,084 dots. The low voltage and low current operation of the microcontrollers makes them ideally suited to customers who develop watches that are not designed to be recharged by users.

Since the integrated liquid crystal drivers are capable of driving LCDs with resolutions as high as 2,048 dots, displays can render crisp characters, graphs, and other graphics. The microcontroller has a built-in real-time clock that is capable of instantly calling up and displaying the time in cities in three different time zones. This feature has the benefit of lightening the load on the CPU and reducing program size. In addition to shipping in a 176-pin plastic package (QFP21-176), the microcontrollers will also be available as bare die to help users reduce the board area within their finished products.

Note Contact Epson to find out whether your printer is compatible with OPOS drivers. To contact Epson support, call (562) 276-1314.

To set up OLE for Point of Sale (OPOS) drivers for an Epson printer in Store Operations, follow these steps:

Before you can download the Epson OPOS drivers, Epson requires that you register with their "EpsonExpert Strategic Developer" Program. This is a free program that is designed exclusively for North American users. This program gives you a single source of information about Epson OPOS products and services.

During the installation, accept all the defaults except when you are prompted to choose Epson CO or Common Control Object (CCO). In this case, choose Common Control Object (CCO).

Note If you accept all the defaults, make sure that you remove the OPOS drivers, and then reinstall them. This action is required by Store Operations, not by the Epson drivers. For information about how to remove Windows applications, search Windows Online Help.

Click Check Health Interactive. You will receive a test receipt if the printer drivers are configured correctly. The printer drivers must pass this test successfully to work in Store Operations. Click Finish to complete the OPOS installation for the printer.

Note If the Check Health Interactive test fails with any error, contact Epson for technical support. Microsoft Business Solutions cannot support the setup of hardware OPOS drivers. To contact Epson support, call (562) 276-1314.

Note If the Check Health Interactive test fails with any error, contact Epson for technical support. Microsoft Dynamics Retail Support cannot support the setup of hardware OPOS drivers. To contact Epson support, call (562) 276-1314.

Note There are some cases in which a printer and cash drawer test successfully in the Epson Setup program but do not work in Store Operations. In these cases, use the Windows Add/Remove application in Control Panel to remove the 2.50e drivers, and then download and install an earlier version of the Epson OPOS drivers. To obtain previous Epson OPOS drivers, visit the following Epson Web site:

Im trying to install an Epson Stylus color 800 printer on a windows xp machine. I have added the printer and everything else. But the printer and PC are not communicating. I think its a driver issue and would like to know here I can get the driver. I tried Epson but nothing for winXp

I used an Epson Stylus Colour 800 with XP for several years without issue. I used the XP drivers without problem. Are you using an IEEE-1284 certified cable? It will be labeled on the cable. Older paralell cables can have issues with the 800.

The problem is now that as the printer wasn't working I proceeded to uninstall it under Printers in System Settings - and then reinstall - except now it isn't being recognised when I try to reinstall printer. I've tried to reinstall all the drivers as previously but it is making no difference. It is asking for the device URI. Nothing has changed with my computer except I mistakenly deleted this file - which I believe is now replaced but the problem is I can't see the printer to reinstall it.

Have you tried sharing the printer from the G4 box? This could be a case where the older system is running a set of printer drivers which work well with the printer, but the newer system has either those specific drivers removed, or they just don't work correctly.

For these instructions, we are using version 5,0,3,0 of the Epson TM-T88III print driver; the EPSON TM-T88IV version is ReceiptE4. Register at the EpsonExpert Technical Resource Center website to gain access to the drivers; go to Technical Resources, then choose the printer model from the Printers drop-down list.

I have noticed some differences in macOS Monterey for adding printers. When you select ADD in System Preferences, it doesn't show Airprint any longer. The printer name pops up and that is essentially the simpler Mac supplied driver. You have to select Other Software and then a pop up box will show the installed Epson drivers. Never explained anywhere.

Thanks - now after some hours of try and error all becomes more "mytirious". I can install the driver downloaded from Epson for 3880 but the printer is not present. There are only printer like 3895ans other ... But with Epson Printer Lout you can print - but not with Photoshop (tested with 23.5 and 23.4.2). So it can be also a bug in PS or by Epson . A Laserprinter works fine.
