I am having the exact same problem with my acer acer aspire r3 131-T. It connects everywhere but home, when i try to connect it says "checking network requirements" then "cannot connect to this network" I have tried everything i have found in this thread and more but this is a HUGE problem I work from home and it will not connect. The router is a Netgear wgt624.
Design and setup
The Acer Aspire EasyStore H340 is, at its core, a Windows-based computer powered by a 1.6Ghz Intel Atom 230 processor and 2GB of RAM. All it lacks is a mouse, a keyboard, and monitor support. That said, the server can be controlled from a second computer on the same network via its Windows Home Server Console (for home users) or via remote desktop (for advanced users). The setup process of the connection was pretty simple, but if you don't have a Hotmail account, it will take a few minutes longer, as you will have to register for one first. Now you can remotely access the server from anywhere via the Internet by going to xyz.homeserver.com, where xyz is the name of your Hotmail account. If you have an old router that doesn't support UPnP, you'll need to manually forward certain ports to the IP address of the NAS to make this work.
