Hi everyone! I use windows 7 64-bit, and when I try to install an app (for example WhatsApp), I get this error: Kernel32.dll entry not point error. The procedure entry point SetDefaultdllDirectories could not be located kernel32.dll. What am I doing now?
What causes the entry point not found kernel32.dll Windows XP error? As the error message suggested, the error is often related to a corrupted or missing kernel32.dll file. To be specific, virus infection, power outage, hard drive errors, corrupted system files, and outdated device drivers can cause the kernel32 dll missing error.
If none of the above methods fix the entry point not found kernel32 dll Windows XP/7/8/10 error, you may need to perform a clean installation of Windows. By doing so, your system will revert to its original status, which can clear the kernel32.dll.error.
This is probably more likely a problem with my operating system, Windows XP, SP2, than CCleaner. I just installed the latest version 5.4 over an older version, 3.01, which was working fine. But when I try to start the new version I get the following error message: "The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". I suspect this is because it was expecting the SP3 KERNEL32.dll?
I looked that up here and got directions for directly downloading Adobe Application Manager 10.0. Downloaded and installed the program, but when it runs, I get a new error message: "The procedure entry point CreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL." That message is not found in the Adobe forums.
More information. After rebooting (which the Acrobat repair action said I needed to do), I was able to use the "update Acrobat" icon in the system tray. It downloaded and successfully installed the latest version of Acrobat XI. So that's one step forward. However, Acrobat itself popped up an error message window. This one had a window title of "adobe_licutil.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and the text of the error message was as above: "The procedure entry point CreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."
The program works, but it was working before. The first time I launched it, I got the error message window entitled "adobe_licutil.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and the error message "The procedure entry point CreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."
1. There's a question in the Photoshop General forum from May, 2015 reporting this error: "The procedure entry point_crt CreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR110.dll." Seems strange that the same procedure would be listed in two different DLLs.
But now everytime i try to open firefox it displaying the error massage:firefox.exe - entry point not foundThe Procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll
tried to run chkdsk on drive c, repairing all bad sectors and error, restarting windows and click firefox again, and... snap! the same error message: The Procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll
i did the windows restore point, before i came to this forum.i did all effort that i can thought of, such as: restore windows, remove all mozilla firefox folder, reinstall the new one, update all drivers and plug in, created a new login user in windows, checking+update my clock desktop, even i try to download the kernel32.dll file and register it using regserv command prompt.i even think of reinstalling new windows or upgrading it to windows7 or 8.
Hello all,
I'm encountering a Run-time error '453': Can't find DLL entry point GetDLLDirectoryA in kernel32.dll whenever I run the Solver add-in Excel (Office 365). Tried Office repair - didn't help and the error is coming up in any Windows machines (Win 7 or 10) that executes this add-in in our organization.
I just updated the IDE to 2.2.0. Runs fine on my Windows 10 box, but Windows 7 gives me a "the procedure entry point getpackagefamilyname could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll".
Hi Team, I'm a newbie using SourceTree tool. I'm using Window7, when I'm trying to install SourceTree, i got error "the procedure entry point setdefaultdlldirectories could not be located in the dynamic kernel32.dll". I installed the fix from Microsoft portal, able to find kernel32.dll in my system but still installation is getting failed. Kindly advise.

Hello,
I am an undergrad student in the beginning stages of my R journey. I am currently working on a Windows 7 Desktop. The system type is 64-bit Operating system and the processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz. I downloaded the R Version 4.3.1 for Windows. Set up R and I am able to open it. Now, here is my problem. I download R studio Version: 2023.06.0+421. The download is successful but whenever I try to open R studio I receive an error message that states, "The procedure entry point GetPackageFamilyName could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." This is foreign to me as I have little experience with software like R. The same can be said for R studio. What does this error mean and what can I do to successfully open R studio on my desk top. Any help and advice is appreciated. Thank you.
If AnyDesk is constantly throwing up the Entry Point Not Found error, it might be easiest to just reinstall that program entirely. Sometimes a fresh install is the best solution for entry point errors and other errors.
KERNEL32.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
Is the message I get after following DLL-FIXER.com's instructions on how to replace a missing .dll file, I want to use the DLL-FIXER program to possibly repair what other problems I have, I would love to play some of the games that I used to play before getting all these annoying errors.
I follow the instructions up until I get to this chunk:
4. If the problem still occurs, try the following:
1. Press Start and select Run.
2. Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND).
3. Type regsvr32 "filename".dll and press Enter.
When I do all of this, I get THIS error:
DllRegister Server may not be exported, or a corrupt version of KERNEL32.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it.
OK.
When I do the research on this program, I become more and more afraid to use it myself, mainly because I do not have the knowledge how to work it, or edit or do anything associated with "PView".
Before doing all of this, I went into SAFE MODE and removed malware and two trojans from my system.
I have also used the SFC.EXE scanning, and it does not ask for the disk, as I had followed instruction (from this board) on how to override the "THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT DISK" error.
My COMPUTER OPERATING SYSTEM:
Windows 2000 Professional SP4
The Disk that came with my computer was WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL SP2.
Q) Why don't you upgrade to another Operating System?
A) Well, this computer was a gift from my parents, and my guess is that Windows 2k was a sufficient Operating System. If I am correct, the things I need to upgrade would be the disk of the OS that I want, but, when I did attempt to switch this computer over to XP, everything looked wonky and discolored/disfigured. So I just switched back to 2K.
In ending, I would love to have some guidance. /smile
Thank you!
