In Our Hands film night
Friday 2nd March Lansdown Hall - doors and refreshments from 6:30pm, for 7pm start.
Free entry - donations welcome.
In Our Hands tells the inspiring story of a growing movement of farmers and food workers in the UK creating vibrant farms, living soils and a fairer food system for all. Come and hear their story, join the discussion - and swap some seeds.
This new and beautifully-shot film, created by the Landworkers Alliance, features small scale producers in both urban and rural locations, from seed growers to dairy farmers. The film briefly explores what's gone wrong with the industrial food system, and concentrates on how human scale agriculture offers the possibility to connect people to the land and their food in new and better ways. A message of hope and a call to action, for everyone who eats!
The film runs for just over an hour, and there will be time for discussion, sharing, seed swapping, cake eating, and tea drinking. The producers of the film will be on hand for a question and answer session. This event is a collaboration between Transition Stroud and Stroud Community Seed Bank.
