Hi Tomas,

I hope you're doing well! After graduation from the MEET program I took last year off of teaching and decided to focus my energy on climate change content for the little ones. I'd love to send along the following message about climate content to Mills Education Network.

How can I go about forwarding it along to everyone?

Thanks!
Cayla Salvador

Dear Teachers,

I hope the beginning of the school year is treating you well so far! First of all, thank you so much for your hard work and dedication as you support our students during this trying time.

My name is Cayla Salvador and I have been working with elementary students in the Bay Area for the last decade. I am currently working with a nonprofit called Youngzine, and we have been working on ways to promote climate literacy in the classroom for grades 5-8. For the last two years, we have been developing clear and thoughtful content to help teachers educate students about climate change in the classroom. Now we are looking for teachers who are interested in piloting our content!

For this particular project, we have a core content that will be paired with four sample lesson plans. These lesson plans are meant to engage students in current climate issues, and help them think critically about the issues that our planet faces today. Within these lessons we have cross curricular concepts such as language arts, mathematics, social studies as well as art.

If you are interested in piloting our content and using our resources in your classroom, please send me an email with your name, school, and what you are looking for in comprehensive climate change content.

All the best,
Cayla Salvador
