Dear friends and colleagues;

Aim High is seeking teachers for Summer 2015!  This is a great opportunity for both seasoned teachers and college and high school students who are serious about careers in education.

Aim High is the largest academic summer program provider in the Bay Area, operating campuses in San Francisco, Oakland, Marin County, the Peninsula, and in Tahoe/Truckee. The program combines intensive, engaging and challenging academic classes with activities and events that create opportunities for leadership development and community exploration. Students join after 5th or 6th grade, and participate for three or four consecutive summers for free.

This is a great opportunity for new teachers because they will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leading a classroom, planning lessons, and working with other teachers.  Experienced teachers have multiple opportunities for leadership, mentoring and exploring innovative, project-based curriculum.

Aim High encourages creativity and passion in teaching, helping teachers become more excited about teaching: “Working at Aim High was like going to ‘teacher camp’. I feel energized about teaching and it was an opportunity to learn effective management skills”.

 Aim High 2015:

·      Preview Week Workshops (Optional, but new teachers in certain subjects may be required to attend curriculum overview workshops) June 8^th – 12^th

·      Mandatory Faculty Training Week  (SF and Peninsula) June 15^th – 19^th

                           (Oakland/Marin/TTAH Sites) June 22^nd – 26^th

Summer Program:

San Francisco/Peninsula/South Bay Sites: June 22^nd - July 24^th

Oakland/Marin/TTAH Sites: June 29^th – July 31^st 

 (Holiday on July 3)
