Executive Summary
Nowadays, financial had been a crucial issue to deal with in pursuing
the tertiary studies. In scholarship seekers perspective, the major
issues are the difficultness to find updated and real time information
on scholarships or loans and tedious application process. On other
hand, the education fund providers having problem in reaching bigger
number of targeted candidates to apply their scholarship or loan. The
need of most fund providers is to choose the qualified individual from
a bigger scope of applicant list in order to find the ‘cream of the
cream’ candidates. Therefore, EduCloud comes out with the solution by
providing centralized portal contain education fund information on
net. We are handling a service that focussed on education fund
matters; provide valuable solution for both its seekers and providers
by become a linker between fund seekers and fund providers.
For education fund seekers, this portal designed to help them in
reaching real time information directly from education fund provider
as well as speed up the application process. Meanwhile, from other
side, this portal serve as online partner in simplifying and
accelerating education fund provider selecting process using the wide
applicant database.
We are focusing on two customer segment which are education fund
seekers and education fund providers. Education fund seekers will be
our users while education fund provider is the customer where revenue
stream is generated.  Education fund seekers are individual or
entities looking for education fund including SPM leavers, diploma
students, undergraduate students, postgraduate students, school
counsellor, parents and private universities. On other hand, Education
fund providers include companies, entities and individual that provide
education fund such as loan, compatible loan or scholarship for
Malaysian students.
EduCloud value proposition are as below:-
•       Convenient and easy information finding experience to education fund
seekers in user friendly integrated education fund portal
•       Simplifying fund application in three processes, ‘Login, Apply, and
Get Aided” by creating and storing application forms online upon login
and applying for suitable funds instantly without filling up the same
forms all over again.
•       Education fund information updates will be notified personally via
emails to each customer to ensure each customer are kept alert on the
opening and closing date of fund application.
•       The subscribed fund providers can reach higher numbers of targeted
applicant details through our wide seeker’s database.
•       Easy and convenient view of sorted database functionality for the
fund provider’s perusal.
•       Reduce the operational cost by 20% for management and advertising of
the educational fund providers in finding the qualified candidates for
their fund.
Our marketing initiative focus on building EduCloud brand name by
guerrilla marketing and keep good customer relation. Several marketing
initiatives to build brand name include conduct career talk, marketing
buzz, advertising ,viral promotion and career fairs. Career talk
program will build strong market positioning since we promote directly
to the targeted users which are school students. In fact, our targeted
customers and users are evolving through the school students
themselves.We penetrate the market using social technopreneur idea;
doing business while doing social work. Guerrilla advertising through
banner and poster in school will remain our visibility in user’s mind.
Our slogan, “There is always hope” is one of strong viral promotion.
In order to maintain a good customer relation, there are two
strategies crafted; apply co-creation method and maintain the interest
of decision makers. As for education fund providers, we planned to use
direct sale method and advertising through reasonable channel such as
websites and online corporate newspaper.
According to the projected income statement in 3 years’ time, EduCloud
can gain approximate RM 104620 gross profit by gaining 50% of market
share and high brand position name. What makes EduCloud different is
the based concept of connecting between two clients which are
education fund seekers and education fund providers. Most competitors
such as malaysianscholarship.net, scholars4dev.com, afterschool. my a,
are giving funding information to users without linking between that
two parties which cause a long process of application. Thus, EduCloud
has come up with a great solution for both its seekers and providers.
In a nutshell, EduCloud.com is a new revolution towards creating a
direct connection between fund seekers and fund providers.
