One of the most popular and rapidly growing chamber ensembles is the brass quintet. The fame that has spread worldwide of such groups as the Canadian Brass, Empire Brass, Boston Brass and Spanish Brass is staggering. This very versatile instrumentation leads to a huge potential for varied repertoire for the concert hall or in churches, weddings, receptions, etc. The list of contemporary pieces composed for this instrumentation is ever growing but the true excitement for this ensemble is the performing of transcriptions and arrangements of works originally for other instrumentations.
