Hi,

I am using ttk 0.9.8. The continuousScatterplot  crashes for certain resolution, say 1000x1000. If I change the resolution to 1001X1001 then It is able to generate the CSP. Mostly it runs fine but if I run it for an ensemble then for some particular instance it'll fail. Even if I try to generate the CSP for that instance only, it'll seg fault and just changing the resolution fixes it. Few times I got double free() message.

Is it a known issue and has there been any fix for this in later versions? Because I was planning to install the latest version just to fix this but that'll be a big effort because I'll have to update the ubuntu too.

Thanks,
Mohit Sharma

Dear Mohit,

thanks a lot for your email.

That version was released about four years ago and a lot has changed since.
I'd recommend to try to reproduce the issue with the latest version (1.2.0). If the problem persists, thanks for sending us the an example dataset that exemplifies the issue such that we can have a closer look into it.

We provide binary packages (*deb) for Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04, which are the official current long-term-support releases of Ubuntu.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I tried it with TTK 1.2. The same crash is still happening. Here is the data file. Try to generate a 1000 X 1000 CSP for the two fields in this data. It'll crash. Y-resolution doesn't matter i.e. for any 1000 X t, it crashes.
