draft radio promo

Hi all,

I made three radio promos, one for KHUM, KSLG and KWPT. Could make more (for other stations), but I haven't really dealt with the other commercial stations yet on promos. I admittedly don't have much time to tinker with this, at least not til the end of the weekend, but I can probably get Cliff to start the three versions soon if you think it works. Competing with candidate air time, so it's probably a little limited right now. Couldn't find a Rooster tune with no lyrics for 30 seconds, so I turned down the piece with vocals... let me know if it doesn't work.

Wow, I'm knocked out. Talk about ROCK STAR!!! I say go for it. I
didn't know we were going to do this with the candidate space so
tight. It sounds perfect to me.

That's awesome Jen! I did the same thing yesterday but included KXGO...  Do you know if our traffic department (the folks who schedule commercials) know about your promo?  Did you talk to Cliff?  I think it's best to have your voice on it but assumed that would be difficult for you so I went ahead and did it.  Please let me know who you talked to at the station.

Also, Jeff DeMark is wondering if we've paid for any other advertising.  He said he'll give us some spots if we haven't but will give us much more if we pay $125.  Just want to make sure that you all did agree to pay the $125 before I speak with him again.

I'll send PSAs to the print media- or is someone else doing this?

Good morning Tara. Sounds like we have plenty of radio promos...hmm.
Should be try and run both of them, or is that confusing for
scheduling and for the public?

We decided to go with the KHSU spots, and are ready to pay the $125.
We haven't paid for any other advertising.
The only thing I'm wondering is if we should add that chef Brett
Shuler is preparing the hearty mix of Humboldt cuisine. I think it
suggests the food will be top notch, and it gives him some
advertising, which is part of why he's doing it for just $100. Is
that ok? Either way, please do follow up with Jeff and give him the
copy.

And yes, you are the one doing the PSAs, so go for it! Thank you. -Nancy

Jen, those spots sound great!   Nancy or Tara, please let me know where to send the check for the KHSU spot or if they will bill us.   Tara, I have 2 volunteers to add to the list, Denise Marcus and Gary Silver. I'll be going to setup at 3pm and will bring Denise with me. You can plug her in to the raffle/auction spot with me from 6:30-8:00. You can plug Gary in wherever he may be needed during the evening.   Tara, we also need to have specific folks at the areas where we are collecting money. Hi all,

Apologies Tara, I should have communicated with the whole group... I asked Mike, but didn't hear back and was at the station and knew I wouldn't be able to be back there for a few days so I went for it. Cliff usually runs anything I send him about trails/bike stuff, and I was going to send them to him and ask if they worked or not first. Whatever you think is best, or both... yours are probably more pro!
