Upcoming switch to a new mailing list platform for the SF location

Hi all,

I have some exciting news for email communications for TTCS-USA members in the Bay area.

As many of you know or have experienced, the Google Group mailing list system that we use for TTCS-USA updates has gotten increasingly unwieldy and hard to manage, especially as we have expanded our number of locations in the Bay area. 

We will be switching to MailChimp, a new mailing list platform that will allow each member to decide what sorts of messages she or he wants to receive and for which locations.

Helena Trent will be importing everyone who is currently on the TTCSSF google group into the new MailChimp platform over the next week, and will send out a welcome message once everyone has been successfully transferred to the new platform.

At that point you will be able to manage your subscriptions to messages for our different locations in the Bay area (SF, Pleasant Hill, Palo Alto, Sonoma, Mendecino, etc.) and can choose to subscribe to just SF, a subset of our locations, all the locations, or unsubscribe entirely. You will also be able to pick whether you want to receive new Beginner class announcement, or general location member announcements.

I'm very pleased to be able to announce this improvement to our branch's communications!

Hello all,

We have now transitioned to the new mailing list platform for the TTCS-USA in the Bay Area.

 While subscribed to this list, you will be able to update your preferences and subscribe to announcements at other locations in the Bay area. In order to update your preferences please go to: 

http://california.usa.taoist.org/locations_nf.php

and click on the "Join Our Mailing List" link. Enter your information and email preferences on the following screen and click "subscribe to list." From that point, if you are already subscribed you will receive an error message that says that your email address is already subscribed to the Bay Area branch list. It will include a link that says, "click here to update your profile." Please click on that link. You will receive an email with a link to follow in order to update your preferences. Open the email and click on the link in order to edit your email subscriptions.
