1. Bring your laptops and wear a team shirt.
2. Have the manual downloaded on your device

The password will be released when the game is released.
3. Bring water and snacks if you need. It's a long day!
4. If you can't make it in to celebrate with us, you can still watch
from home! (https://www.twitch.tv/firstinspires)
We will post additional information about the game and any additional
information needed once it's reveled. Students and mentors who don't
attend Saturday or Sunday are responsible for checking SLACK to get up
to date.

Today we watched the game reveal and reviewed the rules using

template>. Anyone who wasn't in attendance today is expected to catch
up on their own! All the tools you need are in this post. Please
review the game animation, watch the video 3 times at least, and
answer the questions on the template using the game manual below. All
students should post their availability in the #-attendance channel
for the upcoming weeks.

For tomorrow:
• 10am to take a test on the rules over zoom! The test will be
required for all students. It is open book, so everyone will be
expected to take it until they get 100%. I'll be hosting office hours
from 10-11:30 to help everyone take the test, talk about the game, and
answer general questions. I'll also be making sure everyone joins
#2024-game channel
• 12:30pm we will plan to meet at Make-It Labs, have lunch, and
continue on with our scheduled events

Our amazing team really appreciated lunch last Saturday! Thank you to
everyone who contributed. I am hoping to continue to do a potluck
lunch on Saturdays for the remainder of January. I would like to
continue to pool together our parental resources to feed this amazing
team. Please continue to be aware of allergies: Peanuts, tree nuts,
Brazil nuts and shellfish are a concern. We are hoping to break for
lunch around 12 and do a working lunch throughout the afternoon. If
you can bring in your contribution by 11:30 that would be wonderful.
This sign up is for all of the remaining Saturdays in January. -

Dean's List Award is an honor meant for 10th and 11th grade students.
They must demonstrate FIRST Core Values, motivate and lead their team
member, have technical expertise and passion, and be a great model
with their individual contribution to the team. This year we, your
mentors, have choses to nominate @nathandelehanty and
@makenacolumb100! Congratulation :tada:

Nathan has been an outstanding team member for 3 years. His personal
contribution to the team has been priceless. High attendance,
outstanding participation in all team fundraising, attends every
competition, and participated in multiple leadership positions to name
a few. Nathan is a strong member of the team who embodies gracious
professionalism and coopertition. He exercises those skills at every
meeting an at every match.

Makena has consistently shown the team her best self. She has stepped
up into almost every leadership position the team needed. This past
year, she has really shown us tremendous follow-through. Makena worked
through the summer to get a plan for an electrical curriculum and is
making sure to add everything to the GC. She has also made sure we had
an expert on safety after our long term one retired.
