Greetings from Ohio State!
The College of Engineering invites you to apply to the Graduate Engineering Open House (GEOH) which will take place this October. The final deadline to apply is Monday, October 18th. Space is limited. Apply by the priority deadline for priority consideration.
WHAT | This invite-only event aims to give prospective graduate students a preview of what Ohio State engineering has to offer and is specifically aimed at underserved or underrepresented student populations including, but not limited to, female, racial and ethnic groups (African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American and Native Alaskan) historically underrepresented in STEM fields, veterans, LGBTQ+, and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
WHEN | Recognizing you will have many competing priorities during fall term (and that zoom fatigue is real), we will be offering our open house as a series of sessions over the course of multiple days rather than one daylong virtual event. The main event will take place on Saturday, October 23 from 10am-12:30pm EST, with program and research sessions offered throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday, October 25-26. View the full agenda here.
WHY | Your chances of being accepted into our graduate program increase! In 2019, more than 75% of event attendees (of those that applied) were admitted to our graduate program! In addition, attendees will:

“The Graduate Engineering Open House at The Ohio State University expelled my fear of pursuing my Ph.D. That day, I was able to meet my current OSU advisor during her graduate students' poster presentations, hear experiences from two students from my state during the graduate student panel, and see the breathtaking campus for myself. Most importantly, I saw a glimpse of my future support system, which helped me realize that OSU values women of color in all roles and professions.” – Erin, 2019 attendee
