Job 1 - High Performance Computing/Performance Optimization/Computer Science Researcher
Job Description
The Cyber Technology and Information Security Laboratory (CTISL) at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is actively seeking an engineer to support high performance computing research. This research supports the application of novel and emerging high performance computing capabilities. This research includes software tools development, compiler and optimization infrastructure, parallelization approaches, domain-specific programming approaches, application development, low-level optimization, system architecture, and performance analysis. The engineer will support business development by contributing proposals and developing new sponsored research thrusts.
Requirements:
Education: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering. Advanced degrees preferred, or willingness to pursue advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar concentration.
Experience: Experience is required in one or more of the following: software optimization; tuning software for parallelization; designing languages and compilers; linear algebra and numeric methods; Computer Architecture; Assembly, C, and C++ programming; GPU computing
Required Skills: C/C++, familiarity with Python, Good at working in teams. Candidates must have the ability to manage research projects, make technical presentations, contribute to proposals, and work independently.
Other: Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a DoD Security clearance
Job 2 - Web Application Developer
Job Description
The Cyber Technology and Information Systems Laboratory is seeking a computer programmer with experience in building rich interactive web applications. The developr will be working on real-time web applications that interface with high performance backend analytics. Additionally, the developer will assist in creating rich web visualizations to display complex data sets.
Requirements
Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience: 1-5 years of related experience is desired. Skilled with Javascript and experience working within a web framework. Knowledge of packages such as AngularJS, Node.js, D3.js, WebGL is preferred. Experience in developing real-time web applications is preferred. Experience creating rich web visualizations is also preferred.
Skills: Javascript, real-time web application development, Git, Familiarity with Linux, Experience with NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB)
Candidates must have the ability to manage projects, make technical presentations, contribute to proposals, and work independently.
Other: Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a DoD Security clearance.
