Hello Everyone,
We are back with a rather short update, as we are fervently working to
catch up with the long list of things that we need to get covered to
the Launch of the Startup Centre in Chennai on 1st May. We are in the
process of putting together the Application forms for the resident
programme (the coworking programme for founding entrepreneurs) and we
should have the application forms out in a day or two. Follow the
Facebook (
www.facebook.com/thestartupcentre) and Twitter
streams(
www.twitter.com/TSC_India) to stay on top of it.
We did a softlaunch of sorts with the Centre by our In50hrs event. 72
participants, 50 developers, 20 Mentors, 26 ideas and 16 prototypes -
approximately summarizes the energy packed weekend that we had - which
could never quite get a chance to be explained in words, but some have
tried to do exactly that with their post-experience blog posts. (You
can find them on our Facebook Page)
Even as we have to get back to work, for the long list of to-dos that
we need to attend to, the clock nearing 10pm and I see the few
entrepreneurs who are at TSC (who are beta testing the centre) working
fervently still, I realize how important this place is and how right
on we were on the notion that great ideas at startups only come up
after 6pm.
Much to look forward to, keep in touch and would love to hear from
you.
Regards,
Vijay Anand
On behalf of the TSC Team
PS: While we are launching in May, there are a few folks who have been
dropping by the centre still (I have nothing but awe for these brave
souls traversing the city traffic and finding us with no assurance
that we are open. But we are) and if you are curious as to what we are
upto, do drop by - with a shoutout to us beforehand - and we are
always quite happy to catch up with you for a cofee, and take a break!
