Greetings and welcome to the Teaching Statistics in Business Schools
mailing list!

I'm glad you decided you are interested in joining in the discussion.

Things which are on-topic include anything related to teaching
statistically-related topics in a business school environment. I would
suggest, in fact, that we regard the topical scope as roughly the same
as that for the MSMESB - including some research discussions, etc...

We're in the very early stages - we have 11 members as of the moment,
but colleagues in North America haven't had a weekday morning or
afternoon since I sent out the invitation, so many more acceptances
seem likely.

I urge you to go ahead and post as you like. You can post either by
following the instructions you received when I added you to the list,
or by replying to this email. (If you reply to this email on another
topic, please change the Subject line to make it easy to follow what
is going on.)

Looking forward to talking with you in this new method.

Bill Parr

Colleagues -

It's good to see our numbers growing!

If you know of someone who you think would be interested in joining us
on the Teaching Statistics in Business Schools list, the easiest thing
is (probably) to forward this email to them and tell them to send me
an email.

Alternatively, they can go to http://groups.google.com/group/tsibs and
request to be added there. That method gives them a short statement of
the purpose of the group. I'm characterizing it as ---

"The purpose of this mailing list is to facilitate discussion of
insights and problems involved in teaching statistics in business
schools. Those with involvement in MSMESB might find this group (just
started) of interest."

Help us grow!
