Howdy, all.

Wikipedia is already our #6 referrer, and visitors from there spend almost twice as much time on the site as average.  Yet we are only on a few pages there.  I think with a bit of work, we could get a lot more publicity from Wikipedia.  There are tons of micronation articles there.

For example, on 4/18, someone added "Seasteading" to the "See Also" section of the Republic of Rose Island article.  This is just 1 sentence, but we started get 20-30 visits a week from this article (and who knows how much more via people who first went to the TSI article).  20% of our wikipedia traffic comes from this one sentence!
I bet with a little effort, someone could find a bunch of places - oil rigs, ocean pages, micronations, sealand, etc. - where a sentence like the above would be appropriate.  (Say, mention on the ResidenSea page that TSI is working on a similar venture...)  I bet we could increase our Wikipedia traffic by a factor of 5, maybe more, and that's a nice sustainable source of new visitors (and potential members, donors, enthusiasts, etc.)

Anyone up for this?  It's not a big project - a few hours could have an impact, and it can be done over time.  Ideally someone who is familiar with Wikipedia and can defend their edits if necessary.  Also, feel free to volunteer for a non-EN wikipedia, right now 92% of our wikipedia traffic is EN.  It would be awesome to have versions of at least the TSI and/or seasteading pages in DE, IT, NL, and PT, as we have substantial interest from those countries.  JA, ES, FR would be nice just for the traffic levels.  Each language can be a totally separate project.

Thanks!
