Isthis a troll thread? Has to be, because no version of Obi Wan touches......like literally touches Yoda with the force or a lightsaber. For F*** Sakes, I want to smoke what you all are smoking. And for the tool bag quoting Filoni, pound sand, feats are >>>>>>>>> than anything some writer says.

Name one good Jedi with feats, not statements, that Vader beats before ANH. The list is about zero. The dude takes so many Ls and gets pushed by Jedi well below Yoda, yet everyone wants to wank beyond reason.

to be fair with you, the argument that Obi Wan wasn't strong enough to face Sidious goes both ways, Yoda was neither able to do it either, the context of the scene is "destroy the sith we must", Obi Wan cannot destroy Sidious, neither can Yoda, so neither can face them, contextually, point that out as well.

"touching"? lol, the gap between Mustafar Kenobi and Yoda is of the barest of margins, if Yoda is a 100, Mustafar Kenobi is a 97, dude fought someone stronger than Yoda and Sidious and survived for the longest duel in history of Star Wars.

OWK Vader is stronger than either Yoda or Sidious, he just loses due to stylistic inferiority, the idea that it's a terrible showing for Vader but not a feat for Obi Wan just shows your duel faced nature, absolutely nothing stops OWK Obi Wan from being more powerful than Yoda, absolutely nothing, it's just that you want him to be weak, no proof Yoda is substantially stronger than Mustafar kenobi, who Vader destroyed with the force.

this is such a genuinely idiotic comment, who has OWK Vader-ANH Vader struggled with who is bad again? in addition, Yoda's overrated arse hopes he could destroy MFK like Vader did, or hold back tsunamis, explosions that can destroy entire bases or has scaling from Anakin.

Yet the preceding context is their ability to destroy the Sith, I.e. defeat them, not necessarily how well they would do in a given fight. They must be able to defeat them. Hence why Obi Wan says send me to kill the Emperor, to kill him, he must be able to defeat him

What is better force power based on? Prime Kenobi is more powerful than OWK Vader, who in turn is decently above KFV in the force. KFV is Yoda tier in the force, probably above. The gap in force power here is notable, and it is in favour of Kenobi.

the only version of kenobi capable of fighting yoda on equal ground is twinobi .

but that is a circumstantial amp and not the level of power at which he normally operates .

twinobi also smokes old ben so highballing the old man is not gonna help

(ANH ben was already past his prime and him getting wiser or

vaguely more knowledgeable with the force is not gonna help him in combat scenario

while his physical and dueling stats deteriorated) .

also THERE IS ONLY ONE RoTS kenobi and he loses badly vs yoda .

dooku was consistently portrayed as obi-wans superior -

this was clearly intentional from AoTC all the way through TCW and even in RoTS

wishful thinking and few statements will not change the fact kenobi was visibly ment to be inferior to tyranus

and was depicted as such in 2 movies and also in the whole (many seasons long) animated show .

notion of kenobi growing two stomp gaps above his IH self in a few days is also ridiculous .

First, let us remind ourselves of where Anakin stands right now. After killing Dooku, Anakin undergoes a few boosts. The first of which is when he officially turns himself over to the dark side and is knighted as Darth Vader. This is explicitly stated on the databank:

Some may see this as proof that MFV = Obi Wan in the force. But given how most sources emphasise that Anakin is more powerful, I would say it does not show that. What it does show though, is that Obi Wan is not far off Anakin in the force and can pool all his force power into being able to briefly match him

I can get behind much of your reasoning, because it's often eloquent and well placed. But comparing what Yoda did in the second prequel and what Obi-wan did most recent isn't very reasonable, since it's very likely that the time it was made played a huge part of how it was portrayed. What i'm saying is, a remake of the same scene would likely showcase much more fancy looking Yoda moves, don't you think? Why not showcase Vaders lame tossing of small debris against Luke while we're at it :p
