New story out:
http://www.gloucestertimes.com/punews/local_story_354223750.html
FWIW: Its amazing at how twisted a news story can be, TV can be more factual than a newspaper at times but never the less its always about an angle
Of course nothing ever gets mentioned about the good people do, only the bad. I think its humorous that the local PD and ad hoc’s believe they can verify someone’s service with agencies that stay quiet for all good reasons. What’s not humorous is that the locals get tangled up in a business deal that is a civil matter, not criminal, If they had only been so diligent on 911 at Logan airport……….
The same locals wouldn’t even follow up on a scam wire money via e bay sale deal gone south
Tell the same locals that someone is fraudulently using credit cards for pure profit as criminals and they don’t have time to deal w it. BUT they’ll jump on a report from the Chamber of Commerce?????? WTF??? The reliable group that provides a donut and coffee for 40.00 in exchange for a business owner being allowed the prestigious opportunity to give a 30 second elevator speech on a dog grooming business………Go Figure
I could soap box for hours on complacency within the system but I believe I would be preaching to the choir……….
Most of us have witnessed or watched real drama and wrongdoings in this field but if you read between the lines of the particular story that has unfolded the whole scenario is lame As wiremen or sweepers we have always erred on the side of caution with regard to all business transactions. It’s not a bad way to do business.
Hypothetically speaking
If a piece of gear made it to a non friendly country and that gear was used to detect good guys gear that’s looking for bad guys, who would show up on the sellers front door in the US the state dept or the family of one of our boys that got waxed while working downrange due to opsec compromise?????????????
Lots of things to consider. Without digging into personal conflicts I’ve never heard of anyone getting screwed on a piece sold by JM, and I’ve been on the list for over 7 years Albeit we have seen some winners come and go (no names or companies mentioned)
I think gross overexaggeration is in the root of the reported story despite all we have seen in the past

Thanks for the input Mitch. I have been through the law enforcement/press system and I can say without hesitation it is absolutely PUTRID! My battle cost me over $350,000.00 in 1980 dollars (over $1,000,000.00 in today's dollars) to exonerate myself. In spite of that the intel community turned against me and business in the CM area fell to zero and remains so as of today. They are NEVER wrong!
