GREETINGS, TSAS Parents and Families! We would like to provide a delicious home cooked dinner for our wonderful teachers and staff to enjoy the evening of Thursday, September 27 during Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you are able to bring a casserole, salad, bread, dessert, etc. please contact Sara Snow at 918-592-1059 or email ses...@cox.net to coordinate the menu. The staff and teachers have gone above and beyond the past few weeks to meet the needs of our students, so let's show them how much they are appreciated. (We need to feed approximately 25 people, AND semi homemade works, too!)
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held this Thursday, September 27th (4pm to 8pm) and Friday, September 28th (8am to 12pm). Because conference sign-up lists were destroyed, we are asking parents to email their student's teachers right away so new conference schedules can be reconstructed. When you email teachers, please either provide them with your previously reserved time or email them for a new time. Your flexibility and patience is very much appreciated. Teachers will soon be opening all slots on a first come/first served basis so if you had signed up for a specific time, please communicate that right away!
NO SCHOOL Friday, September 28th. School will not be in session due to Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Gardner's Books is offering the 25% educators discount to anyone purchasing books for TSAS.
We are grateful to both Tulsa area Barnes & Noble stores for hosting a bookfair to help in recovery efforts for the Tulsa School of Arts & Sciences. Anyone can help by making a purchase at any Barnes & Noble location and mentioning TSAS or voucher #10885507. Barnes & Noble's contributed funds will go to the TSAS Phoenix Fund established by the Tulsa Community Foundation for the recovery efforts of TSAS. The bookfair will take place from 9/23-9/30. Tulsa area stores will also have a wish list provided by our teachers of the books they need. Please spread the word!
Please bring your reusable bags to Whole Foods Market Tulsa and donate to Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences Oct 1st through Oct 28th. For every bag WFM will give TSAS 10 cents.
Attention all TSAS parents and families! There’s an exciting new opportunity just for you: Adopt a Classroom! As we all know, there isn’t going to be any painting, major decorating or construction in our Sequoyah location for the time being. We are all searching for ways to make this building a little more warm and homey. The teachers have been through so much, and yet remained completely awesome during this transition. We would like to help them personalize their rooms in any way we can. We can decorate with posters, pictures, personal items, etc. Below is a list of our 23 fantastic teachers. Please choose one to adopt, contact them to see what they want or need, and then help them make it happen! Once you’ve chosen a teacher, please contact Kelley Bryan at
kelle...@yahoo.com or
918-261-2381 and let her know which teacher you are adopting. If that teacher has already been taken, there will be others who are available. Let’s help our terrific TSAS teachers! We rise!
