Centralized counterpart

Hi,

I'd like to understand what is the use case behind the Centralized Counterpart functionality in Tryton accounting. I understand what it does from the docs [1] but I'd like to know who uses it and in what situations. Tried to google it but couldn't find anything apart from some OpenERP references, so I don't know if other systems have this feature or if it is a use case of some countries only.

Could somebody help me with this?

I think I already asked about who use it (but I can not find the email).

For me, it is useless because it looks like a try to copy a manual
accounting process where it is not needed when using a computer.

I'm in favor of removing it if nobody can provide a use case.
