XML UPDATE MODIFICATION

Hi Guys,
I am kinda new to tryton from Nairobi Kenya,
I have a problem while updating xml for form view. I get this error and the form is not changed:

7508 140179201341184 [2015-12-17 16:43:01,062] WARNING trytond.convert Field arch of 9...@ir.ui.view not updated (id: hello_view_form), because it has changed since the last update


Is there a way to make xml updated? i had to delete my whole database to get my xml view changed.

I will really appreciate any help. thanks.

It says that some data loaded by xml have changed in the database, so it
throws a warning and respect the database values.

BTW: You are using the arch field of ir.ui.view, which I will not
recomend to use. It's better to use the name attribute which will
indicate the name of the xml for the file in the view folder of the module.

There is a force sync button in Ir Model data, that you can use to force
the update from the xml values.

Thanks for your prompt response,

Kindly advise me on what is the best way to edit my xml and view changes on the client. I was adding new fields on the form view when i got this error.

Normally, you should never update record that are created by module.
There is a check for that by default in Tryton (but it doesn't
completely work for the view if you edit the arch field when the record
was created using a local xml view).

For proper customization of the view, you should follow:
http://doc.tryton.org/3.8/trytond/doc/topics/views/extension.html#topics-extension
You can create the extension record from a module but also from the
client if you want.
