Hi All,

In [1], we want to allow directly creating the production scrap as
outputs. But we have some concers:

- Will the scrap affect the cost?
- Which type of location we use for scraps?

If you are interested on the topic please join the discussion on the issue.

Thanks for your time.

It should, unless your raw material was for free. Scrap value should be
collected on the production order.

Depends on what you do with it. Collect and sell? Then a location makes sense.

The cost of the inputs (raw material) is already reflected on the
production. So maybe a better question is: "There is some additional
cost associated to the scrap that should be included on the production
cost?"

If you collect then you will include and storage location (which is
currently suported now).

What we want to reflect is that some materials have been scraped
directly from the production and to do this we should use a location
type != storage. The question is to use lost_found location or create a
new type for scrap.
