Hi,

I am not a coder and have this problem.

I am trying to create a switch for my four particles and change of 4 colors. Please find the composition (attached). I am not a coder/programmer and really appreciate for any help. I could do the first two, I mean Yellow and Blue, however, having challenges to turn on Red and Green.

thanks a lot for you kind help.

hi,

i am not sure i understand what you exactly want to do?  Do you want to remote your four different particles with your four arrow keys?

i have modified your qtz, and made it so that each arrow key controlles a particle system. and the spacebar resets it all. is this what your were looking for? or not at all? :-)

cheers

Adrien

Thank you so much for the help. In fact I am thinking of having one particle "on" at a time with only one signal from the keyboard; I do  not need to press spacebar. This way only one signal, lets say "key up" will turn one of the particle on turn of the rest of the three particles.

Any help is appreciated. In a theory, if I have a patch which have three input (to hide the other three particles) and one out put.

So, only one particle on with only triggering one signal, that is all I am thinking.

any help, please?

I cannot get it working where only one pulse turn on the particle and leave it there and when the second particle is on the rest of them turn off. Please see the attached file.

I feel like I have to learn Jawascripting and then create a patch to control this situation?????

any help, please

hi,

ok, i started the whole thing over because i thought it was a bit messy. maybe you were trying to add too many things. i think that the easiest way is most often the simple way. i myself do not have any knowledge of javascript. but i am able to mess around with a script that has already been writen. you should try and do the same. i think i finally undestood what you were looking for :-).  so here is a quick simple version i did with spheres. you can use the arrow keys to control. have fun......

Hi,

It may be not the right topic for discussion, however, just thought someone would put a light on it.
Has Anybody used FCP X? Should I still use FCP 7 for a year or switch to FCP X or Adobe Premier or get Avid. What would be the future of these editing tools?
Any comparisons and contrasts?

Thanks a lot
Muqeem

I am using FCP X right now. It is polished but buggy, handy but crashes, has lots of filters, transitions, and features but lacks core elements - overall very fast at rendering. It uses a new timeline do you'll have to adapt to that as well. Better than Final Cut Express for sure
