Dear Sebastian thank you for answering and for your time as usual. I tried to replace “FileTools.plugin” with the new “datatools” but seems that nothing happens (I’m trying with synapse), there is the same problem: I’m able to calibrate but the pieces don’t fit on the skeleton, they are flat like in the screenshot I sent you last time…
Tank you for your answer anyway Sebastian, hope to hear from you if you’ll figure out the solution (of course don’t worry at all if you are too busy!). Giuseppe

Hi!

I think I found what could be wrong. I saw that you use '01s_Kinect Skeleton Mid, Rot and distance from elements'. to get the position and rotations for the cube. There is a JS script that doesn't work with YM.

Also, if I remember correctly I didn't include this patch in the latest tryplex releases. It got replaced by the 'Get Elements' patch. This should do the same as the earlier patch, but doesn't have any JS in it.
Could you replace it and check if this works?

Best,

Sebastian.

Hi Guiseppe,

Could you send the quartz file so I can check what's going wrong?

Best,

Sebastian.

Dear Sebastian sorry if I’m disturbing you again. I tried to work on the base of what you told me last time.  I tried to build a puppet from 0, the result is better but it seems there are still some problems. For instance, for some parts of the body I couldn’t work with the z rotation value because otherwise the piece was turning in a strange way around itself. Now the basic movements are working but the arms and legs of the puppet are not behaving like before…In some cases, like the arms, I had to change the input parameters of the cube (face culling and bottom color of the cube) because otherwise I had two specular arms. But I don’t know if I’m doing all wrong! Another problem is the torso: the only way to make it work with the head was to put in the gets element patch the same values of the head (right shoulder-left shoulder), but especially if I bent down, the torso loose the right position. I attached you the composition of the puppet so if you'll have time you can have a look. Thank you very much as usual!! Giuseppe
