to tryplex toolkit for Quartz Composer
Ok i'm on the case to update the tryplex project with the beta release
of NI mate (http://www.ni-mate.com/) this is the route we should take
from now on as NI-mate is in active development. Hopefully rob hexer
will have a new qcOSC plugin to test soon. But pizthewiz has pretty
much done a cracking job at updating my BBOSC plugin so i'm keen to
test this with some kinect translated OSC signals. As for gestures I
got a few macros to share but i've been looking into making a $1
unistroke recognizers plugin (http://depts.washington.edu/aimgroup/
proj/dollar/).
I'll also try and simplify my own osceleton JAM Ableton kinect
interfaces, however i use iterators a lot and the code gets abit deep
sometimes. Anyway hope to finial contribute to the project

Hi J,
Will check it out tonight! Looks very promising.
Does it do multi-user tracking? I'm also wondering if it's going to be commercial of free to use after the beta period.
Curious about the $1 detector!

I put a basic quick fix for ni-mate in the downloads folder. It works quite nice.
More to come! Let me know if you've got something to test.
Right now I'm using the stock OSC patch, but it doesn't handle some arrays like the /User_1 data.
I gave the developers from ni-mate a heads up of the adaptation.

I just tried this with Ni-mate 1.2, but no luck. It says "the selected file does not contain a valid profile"
Any ideas?

You can make a profile or adjust all settings in ni-mate yourself.
I've enclosed a screenshot on the settings that should work with the tryplex nimate fix. Most important is the port, format and the z values.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. It works! I nearly gave up, but I'm so pleased it's working.
Your bodybuilder has solved a problem for me too - I was struggling with Ni-Mate and Animata (nothing to do with QC), and couldn't get the OSC messages to work or get my puppet moving.
I'm most grateful.
I'm busy working on a music project for special needs/disabled people, and when the video of the first workshop is published, I'll let you know.
