Dear Friends:
Please join us at our home at 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 3rd, for a belated Blue Wave Party and Coming together to Build A Better World gathering.
We
want to celebrate winning the 2018 House elections, and also come
together at this tough, confusing, raw time. What we are learning is
that our power comes from our connectivity, from sharing inspiration,
from play, and from the arts. Towards these ends, we are delighted to
be hosting Charlie Varon, San
Francisco playwright and performer whose works include The People’s Violin, Soup of the day and Rush Limbaugh in Night School. Elliot and I
went to see Charlie a couple of months ago at his performance at The Marsh Theater in "The Great American Shit Show,” after we found out that
the three of us had all gone door-to-door to campaign for Josh Harder in
Modesto last fall.
Charlie was kind enough to agree to come to our house to perform for us February 3rd. His performance will be offered within a context of
an evening of sharing uplifting stories with each other, so we can share
hope and encourage each other to stay engaged, even in these difficult, crazy
times. If
you can, please bring an uplifting story about what you (or someone you know or have read about) is doing to make this a better world.
RSVP HERE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER and if you're coming, we will send you parking directions. Bring a snack/hors d'oeuvres to share. We figure 5:00 - 8:00 including “heavy
hors d’oeuvres."
With love and gratitude,
Elliot and Lynne
