WEST POINT DETAILS!!!

We are booked for West Point Inn on Thursday May 9th.  We currently have 2 cabins booked, which sleep 6 total.  I am trying to get us another 3 rooms (or beds).  The cost/bed is $50 whether cabin or room.  If any of you have never been to West Point, visit the website... there is no electricity, for example, and you should bring a sleeping bag or your own sheets (they do have blankets) so there are things you need to know!

We have 6 "in", one "out" (Damian), one "maybe" (Will, depending if he can get back from a conference in time), and No Reply from Garth and Trevor but I think they said they're in.  So we're like 9-10.

Let's ALL meet at 5:00 on the road that goes up to the fire station just past Mountain Home Inn (to the North).  There is parking along the shoulder of that little road.  Let's meet right at the cars.  If you can't be there at 5:00, no worries, we'll meet you up at the Inn.  If you are going to arrive past sunset, you need to alert the innkeeper (or one of us).

We'll circle up when everyone gets there, or by 6:30, whichever comes first.  Hopefully everyone can make it to the Inn in time to circle up outside together, but if not, we'll do any additional check-ins over dinner.

After circle up, we'll want to get rolling right away on dinner!  Any and all can lend a helping hand, however I am appointing the following men (please see me directly if there are any issues with these appointments, or make your own side arrangements to switch with another man, just alert each Meal King):

BREAKFAST/COFFEE*:
Trevor (It's way too fucking early King)

*Note: We don't really do "breakfast" typically, but the King should have good coffee going and maybe some breakfast snacks like, I dunno, breakfast bars or something quick/easy, or maybe a pot of oatmeal or whatever.

Jess, Garth and Will are the Meal Kings (again, feel free to switch out with another man), and will run point on their meal, and will work with their team to make sure all food for their meal is procured and packed for the hike in.  We may even the loads among all the backpacks where we meet at the cars.  KEEP ALL RECEIPTS AND GIVE THEM TO ME AND I'll CREDIT YOUR DUES.

Also, everyone is asked to bring up the beverage(s) (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) of their choice.  We'll check in on drinks at the cars and if we have 7 bottles of whiskey we can leave 2-3 of them ;-)

We have some world-class snorers in the group so EAR PLUGS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED,

Excellent organization/requests/details here. 
I know Garth’s in for sure. 

I’ll be hiking up the hill around 6/6:15. 
I’m happy to handle dinner. I’d have to jump on it as soon as I get there around 6:45/7. 

I have a free mid day Thursday and could drop the ingredients off to someone hiking up earlier. Just a thought. 

I’ll bring 2 good bottles of red wine. Couldn’t think of a better gathering to crack them for.

No.... unless you’re kidding!  But if you’re not kidding, no, every “team” is responsible for choosing the dish, procuring the ingredients, and prepping the food.  How you get that all done is between you and your team!

Brothers:

I am, reluctantly, a last minute scratch for tonight. I love our West Point evenings together, but I just got back from 6 days in Zion, and Lynne and I are seriously behind on some aspects of the wedding planning -- only 3 1/2 weeks to go now.  Garth, if you want I will pick up some desserts and meet you somewhere to give them to you.

I hope you have a great evening together.  I will miss you.
