Brothers,
This is the 2nd call to apply for Staff or MOS for the March 28-31 NWTA at Camp Augusta, Nevada City.
Do you want to be part of initiating 40 new brothers? To be of service, to deepen your own work, and to join hands with 60+ men, all working together in brotherhood? We already have men applying to staff/MOS from NorCal, Hawaii, New England, and Canada - I’m personally stoked :-)
The Full Leader for the weekend will be our own Martin Marks. The Co-Leaders are Jay Saber, Richard Torres, and Kevin McCoyd. The Ritual Elder for the weekend is Paul DeMeritt.
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL
Before you apply, please read this email in its entirety, as important logistics are included below. In addition, there are a few changes from the previous versions. If at any time during this process you need support, please contact me using the information below.
SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION
Applications must be received by January 27, 2019. (I’m aware the MKPConnect site says deadline is Jan 15th; we’re working on it:)
(Make sure to be logged into MKPConnect first).
After submitting your application, email me at christianp...@gmail.com to notify me that you have applied (a simple “I applied for the NWTA” will do). You will then receive an email back from me confirming that your application has been received. This is an important step and it’s the only way that you can be assured that your application has been received.
Please note this process is the same whether you’re applying to Staff or MOS.
STAFFING AGREEMENTS
Brothers: Please review and contemplate these important agreements. Upon acceptance to staff, you agree to:
1. Complete all of the required paperwork and pay the Staff/MOS fee prior to the deadline
2. Participate in a container building Zoom call approximately 4 weeks prior to the weekend (Staff Only)
3. Be responsible for all announcements, logistics, and information distributed via staff email lists
4. Attend at one of the two Graduation Ceremonies that will be held within 10 days following the NWTA (out-of-area staff men are exempt)
5. Refrain from bringing or using drugs/alcohol during the weekend
In addition, in order to be considered for staff, you must be in good financial standing with the Norcal Community.
FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS
Staff and MOS men are required to pay a fee to offset the costs of the weekend. Please note that these fees are increasing for 2019 in order to help defray large increases in rental fees for the camps we use.
Staffing Fee: $175
MOS Fee: $100
Scholarship: An optional, tax-deductible scholarship donation is asked of every man. The recommended amount is $50. You may make a donation here: http://ncal.mkpusa.org/new-warrior-training-adventure/the-next-man-fund
