Everyone has bad days. Everyone has down days. Everyone has days they wish they could forget. But I tell you; forget them. Press past those things that are behind. Stop dwelling on the troubles of your past, and stop worrying about the troubles of your future. Press past the "mind traffic" and focus on Jesus. He left you His peace, peace that passes all understanding, to guard your heart and your mind. So even when you feel discouraged, even when you ae anxious, you can tap into that peace that dwells in your spirit. You can press into My heart and find refreshing and strength.
Isaiah 43:18-19
"But forget all that.....it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland."
Philippians 3:12-14
"I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing; forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
Proverbs 4:25-27
"Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil."
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, the past is in the past, yet I am tempted many times to pull it up and rehash it. Help me cast down those thoughts and accept the peace Jesus offers. Help me resist discouragement and submit myself to Your Word at all times. Show me the way to a deeper relationship with You.
