Sometimes you just have to remain silent, even when people are throwing you under the bus, painting you with the wrong brush and the wrong color, and otherwise manipulating perception of you. When you let Father deal with these situations, you will come out "smelling like a rose," and having greater authority in the spirit, than you previously had. No matter how wrong people are, no matter how hot the fire, no matter how badly your flesh wants to rise up, hold your tongue. Don't answer back.

Lamentations 3:26

"So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord."

Proverbs 17:28

"Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent."

Psalm 62:5

"Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him."

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I marvel at how Jesus didn't answer His accusers, and I thank You for giving me the same grace and wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent. Help me remember Your glory rests upon me, when I face persecution for Christ's sake.
