TAKE THE LOW ROAD

You've heard it said, "Take the high road."  In the Kingdom of God it's not the high road, but the low road you want to take........the path of humility.  Taking this road means doing right by people, who are not doing right by you.  It means asking for grace and wisdom, instead of moving in your own strength and intellect.

My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, and My ways are higher than your ways.  Jesus is meek and lowly, a humble King, who was exalted on high.  I will help you walk in the grace of humility, if you will let Me.

James 4:6

"And He gives grace generously.  As the Scriptures say, 'God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' "

1 Peter 5:6

"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time, He will lift you up in honor."

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I choose humility.  Will You pour out this grace in my heart?  I choose to imitate my humble Lord.  Will You give me the wisdom to walk in His ways?  Help me prefer others and honor others over myself.
