Nobody likes to sit in a waiting room, even if you are waiting on something good. Much of life is about waiting. Your faith alone is not always enough to immediately manifest Father's will in your life. You see, it's faith mixed with patience that positions you to inherit His "yes-and-amen" promises. And how you wait is important. When you wait without patience, you delay your own answer. Father is more interested in seeing the character of Christ formed in you, than seeing you get immediate answers to every prayer you lift up to the throne. So wait with patience. Wait with endurance. Wait with perseverance. Wait with a good attitude.
Lamentations 3:25
"The Lord is good to those who depend on Him, to those who search for Him."
Habakkuk 2:3
"This vision is for future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed."
Psalm 37:7
"Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act."
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, You are so right. I don't like waiting. I'm not the most patient person in the world. Help me wait with a right spirit. Help me wait with a good attitude. Help me wait, as if I believe Your Spirit will break in at any minute and bring the breakthrough I'm hoping to see.
